The mission of the Institute for Space Law & Policy is to aid in creating the legal regime of free markets and property rights that will allow private enterprise, supported by sound public policy, to open the space frontier to all mankind.
Export Control Reform

The single greatest impediment to the commercial space industry, as well as the U.S. government’s space program, is the current export control regime governing space technologies. Intended to promote national security by reducing the proliferation of technologies with potential military applications, these controls have severely damaged our long-term national security by undermining our technological pre-eminence and stifling our space industry. We will propose reforms that allow the space industry to reach for the frontier while enhancing national security.
